As Uganda is approaching 14 January elections, National Unity Platform has developed an application intended to screen casts a ballot and lessen vote fixing.
Bobi Wine reported that the application will before long be accessible for Ugandans to get to it. He said this during a press conference at his home in Magere.
“We have been building and application, and application that will help us bring together the results of this election. That application is called u vote, we shall be sending it to you by WhatsApp and we ask you to share it. With that application, you ensure that you get the declaration form and send it to that app. You take a picture of the DR form and send it to that app. That can be done by our agents but can also be done by any citizen because this not only about agents, this is about all the people of Uganda and I want to invite all people of Uganda to kindly be part of this.” He said.
After elections in numerous African nations, officeholders are constantly blamed by their competitors for vote logging.
A model of Dr Kiiza Besigye who lost multiple occasions yet claimed that president Y Museveni manipulated casts a ballot subsequently remaining as president.
Bobi Wine believes the application will help to solve the problem. The application shall be available in Google Play for all Ugandan.
