Local artist and presidential advisor on Kampala affairs Catherine Kusasira has defended Singer Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool saying that the state doesn’t recognize him anymore.
This comes after bits of gossip that Bebe was told to shut up by president Museveni in a meeting at State House held over the weekend leaving him embarrassed.
“For whoever thinks that Bebe Cool is nolonger recognized by the state it’s just propaganda to out him down, he is still standing and on the cause Museveni palalast…..respect to Rasta man….Bebe Cool,” Catherine said through social media posts.
Singer Khalifa Aganaga yesterday revealed that the “Nkuliyo” singer was embarrassed in State House by his self proclaimed friend Museveni.
Aganaga said that the NRM chairman talked ill about an act of kneeling to give voters T-shirts which angered the singer. On raising his hand to defend himself, Museveni shut him up which annoyed him the more hence refusing to take the juice offered to him and walked out.
For the past months Bebe Cool has been rumoured for having been dropped by his favourite political party NRM.
The most prominent incident that brought about the claims was when the party headlined Ronald Mayinja’s campaign song and ignored his (Bebe Cool’s) leaving him cursing.
