Singer and Uganda Musicians Association president Wycliffe Tugume has put a smile on the National Unity Platform fraternity after he announced that he will vote in favour of their presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine come January 14, 2021.
“With only two days left, here is my candidate that I’m going to vote on Thursday, 14th January 2021. WHO IS YOUR CANDIDATE? Tell me in comments #LetsChangeUganda, “ Benda tweeted.
This comes just days after he was bashed by NUP supporters for failing to speak up against the detention of singer Nubian Lee with many saying that he (Benda) has been paid by the state to keep quiet.
Subsequently, to being called all sorts of names, the singer went unexpectedly rude and obscene to insult the critics. He said to them that no one orders him adding that Nubian Lee was arrested and detained as a politician, not a musician hence the association’s silence about the matter.
Presently, in the wake of declaring support for Bobi wine, the same people who bashed him have resorted to praising him saying he is the best musician in the country.
