Radio and TV personality Evelyn Mic, whose actual name is Evelyn Masika, a presenter on NRG Radio Uganda, has retaliated against media celebrity Sheilah Gashumba after Sheilah allegedly threatened to fire her.
The most recent conversation is the result of a widely shared interview in which Sheilah accused Evelyn of trying to meddle in her relationship with boyfriend Alex Bidandi after the radio host said that the couple had split up.
Evelyn, who is currently grieving the loss of her sister, claimed that because she had avoided social media, she was initially unaware that the issue was trending. Before she finally found out about the scandal, she claimed, friends and family continued to call and message her.
Despite Sheilah’s criticism, Evelyn said she has no regrets about her earlier comments and continues to stand by her claim that the couple had separated.
“I stand by what I said that they split up, and because of me, they are trying to patch up their relationship because I talked about it.”
The radio presenter also maintained her earlier claims about Sheilah’s alleged past relationships, insisting that she has evidence to support what she said.
“I am 100% sure that they dated.” Evelyn further accused Sheilah of acting unprofessionally by recording and sharing a private phone conversation between them without her knowledge.
“I didn’t even know she was recording. That shows some level of unprofessionalism as well…I don’t feel bad about what Sheilah said because I know the truth.”
She also claimed that screenshots allegedly shared by Alex showed that the couple had been experiencing relationship problems. According to Evelyn, Alex had shown people messages allegedly sent by Sheilah asking him to take her back.
