Western Uganda musician T-Paul has dismissed allegations that he is at loggerheads with fellow singer Ray G, saying the claims are being fueled by outsiders and do not reflect the reality of their relationship.
The singer, whose real name is Taremwa Paul, said reports suggesting a bitter rivalry between the two artistes are false and misleading. According to T-Paul, he remains on good terms with Ray G despite ongoing speculation on social media and among sections of their fan bases.
Speaking about the allegations, T-Paul said people are creating stories of conflict where none exists, insisting that there is no bad blood between him and the Omusheshe hitmaker.
He noted that both artistes have played a significant role in elevating music from Western Uganda and should be celebrated for their contribution to the industry rather than being pitted against each other.
The comments come amid growing rumours that the two musicians were involved in a silent battle for dominance in the region’s music scene. However, T-Paul’s remarks appear aimed at putting the speculation to rest.
Both T-Paul and Ray G are among the most recognizable music stars from Western Uganda, with each commanding a loyal fan base and a strong presence on the country’s entertainment scene.v
