We earlier wrote about how MC Ibra had savagely attacked female singer Lydia Jazmine over allegations that she is pregnant for rapper Fik Fameika. Ibra, filled with glee and malice referred to Lydia as a very old woman who is spoiling a young Fik Fameika. He also branded her a dull, dense, and ignorant woman who should be exempt from giving birth on account of not wanting to spoil the next generation with her dull and dense genes.
In the aftermath of the online attack on Star TV, Lydia Jazmine cried out to the TV management which subsequently suspended Ibra and his Wolokoso show.
Now Andrew K Mukasa alias MC Ibra has officially penned down a sincere apology to Singer Lydia saying he regrets all the childish statements he uttered out. Ibra in the apology claims he never intended to insult Lydia Jazmine or any other artist in Uganda with the presenter claiming that he has over the years played a clean part in safeguarding his brand. He therefore humbly requested the public to forgive him in his post below:
On Monday June 29, 2020 during the Bwakedde – Morning show hosted on Star TV, I made utterances against Artiste Lydia Jazmine that seem degrading, appalling and regrettable.
Am deeply sorry for offending you (Lydia Jazmine).
As my followers know, I never intend to attack any person(s) in any fraternity but sometimes we get things hastily and spectacularly wrong as it befell with Lydia Jazmine.
There is nothing more important to me than a thriving music industry and is why I tiressly contribute to the fraternity though this time round it’s regrettable that I attacked and offended the Person of Lydia Jazmine.
Jazmine is incredibly talented, humble and likeable and honestly, deep down I would never wish bad things to her or any one for that matter and is why I wish to extend a genuine and public apology to Ms. Lydia Jazmine, her family, management, the music fraternity and all Ugandans for the harm caused.
In this business, all we can do is own up to our mistakes when they happen.
God bless you.
IBRAH .K. MUKASA
