Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu Calls for Peace and Unity in his Easter Message

Archbishop Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu

The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, Samuel Stephen Kaziimba Mugalu, has called on Christians to actively promote and sustain peace using their God-given abilities.

Delivering his Easter message on April 2 from his residence in Namirembe, the Archbishop emphasized the importance of unity and coexistence among Ugandans, regardless of political differences.

Kaziimba stressed that Uganda belongs to all its citizens and should not be viewed as the property of any single political party. He urged believers to rise above divisions and instead embrace the values of love, tolerance, and harmony.

“Uganda belongs to all of us,” he noted, encouraging Christians to reflect on the true meaning of Easter by fostering peace within their communities and across the nation.

His message comes at a time when the country continues to navigate political and social dynamics, with religious leaders playing a key role in advocating for national cohesion.

The archbishop reaffirmed the church’s commitment to promoting peace and moral responsibility, calling on citizens to be ambassadors of unity in their daily lives.
