Jovan Luzinda Blames Poor Studio Infrastructure for The Declining Music Quality

Ugandan musician Jovan Luzinda has raised concerns over the state of music production in the country, attributing the decline in quality to the lack of well equipped recording studios.

Speaking out, Luzinda noted that many artists are forced to work in substandard environments, which ultimately affects the sound and overall output of their music.

“Our music falls short on quality because we don’t have proper studios to work with. We need government support to change this,” he said.

According to the singer, the absence of modern studio infrastructure limits creativity and competitiveness, especially when compared to international standards. He emphasized that investing in better production facilities would significantly elevate the industry and open up more global opportunities for Ugandan artists.

Luzinda also called on the government and stakeholders in the creative sector to prioritize funding and development of professional studios, arguing that music is not only entertainment but also a viable economic sector capable of creating jobs and generating revenue.

His remarks have sparked discussion among industry players, with many agreeing that improved infrastructure could play a key role in transforming Uganda’s music scene and enhancing its global appeal.
