Kazibwe Kapo Discloses How Mesach Ssemakula Lost Shs2 Million to Pickpockets at his Concert

Ugandan musician Kazibwe Kapo has revealed that veteran singer Mesach Ssemakula was allegedly pickpocketed during Kapo’s maiden concert held at Front Page hotel in Namasuba.

According to Kapo, the celebrated Eagles Production singer reportedly lost Shs2 million during the event after suspected thieves targeted him while he was among revelers attending the show. The musician made the revelation while reflecting on the successes and challenges of the concert, which attracted a number of artists, fans, and entertainment industry figures.

Kapo expressed disappointment over the incident, noting that such acts tarnish the image of entertainment events and discourage supporters from freely attending concerts and social gatherings.

While details surrounding the alleged theft remain unclear, the incident has sparked discussion among fans, with many calling for tighter security measures at concerts and other public events.

Mesach Ssemakula, one of Uganda’s most respected musicians, is yet to publicly comment on the alleged loss. However, the revelation has generated sympathy from fans who described the incident as unfortunate.

The alleged theft serves as a reminder of the growing concern over pickpocketing at crowded entertainment events, where criminals often take advantage of large gatherings to target unsuspecting victims.

Despite the setback, Kapo’s maiden concert has been widely praised for attracting a sizeable audience and showcasing a number of performances from both established and upcoming artists. Fans are now hoping organizers will strengthen security arrangements at future events to prevent similar incidents.
