Ugandan media personality Viana Indi has announced that she is leaving Next Media after the completion of her contract, bringing to a close a chapter that saw her grow into one of the country’s most vibrant on-air personalities.

Indi shared the news through a heartfelt message posted on her X (formerly Twitter) account, where she reflected on her journey and expressed gratitude to the media house for the opportunities and experiences she gained during her time there.

“Some chapters never leave your heart. Thank you Next Media for the memories, the growth, and the voice I found along the way,” she wrote in the post that quickly drew reactions from fans and colleagues.

During her time at Next Media, Indi became a familiar face and voice across the company’s platforms. She hosted the popular youth entertainment show After 5 on NBS Television and also appeared on Next Radio where she co-hosted Next Brunch.

Reflecting on the experience, she described the shows as more than just programs, saying they played a key role in shaping her voice, confidence, and professional growth. She also thanked the leadership, production teams, and colleagues who supported her throughout her journey.

Viana, whose real name is Vivian Ayesiga Kabahindi, joined Next Media in 2022 and quickly established herself as one of the most energetic presenters in Uganda’s entertainment media space. She eventually became one of the hosts of NBS After 5, working alongside prominent personalities in the industry.

Before joining Next Media, she began her media journey as an intern on T-Nation at NTV Uganda in 2021 before moving on to work with Galaxy FM and later building a reputation as a television presenter, radio host, event emcee, and digital influencer.
